The San Diego Padres have officially won the offseason.

It seemed that the Friars was the only team making and moves during Free Agency.

It all started when they traded for Ray’s Pitcher, Blake Snell. San Diego sent over 5 prospects, with Colombian prospect Luis Patiño leading the bunch. The Padres got a former Cy Young winner who will bolster up the bullpen. That felt like the first big move from offseason.

Less then a week later the Padres made another big trade, trading for pitcher Yu Darvish and catcher Victor Caratini. Darvish had a huge 2019 season, leading the MLB in almost every pitcher metric. Although he didn’t win the Cy Young award, he is still a very good pitcher.

Another move from the Padres was signing highly ranked Korean prospect Ha-seong Kim. Kim played as a shortsop in the KBO league. Kim will be a good utility piece with a solid bat who should be able to help in the Padres quest to stop the Dodgers.

The final move from the Padres was signing superstar Shortstop, Fernando Tatis Jr. to a 14 year, 340 million dollar contract.

Time will tell if these moves will be enough to dethrone the Los Angeles Dodgers.
